Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
BS Picture is a photo viewer and editor for Windows. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: BS Picture does not collect, store or send any personal data.
Your photos
Your photos are opened, edited and saved only on your computer. BS Picture never uploads them anywhere. When you use "Share", the photo is passed to the Windows share panel, and you choose where it goes.
Data collection
- No account or sign-in is required.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking and no telemetry.
- No personal information is shared with or sold to anyone.
Internet use
- Version check: the version downloaded from this website reads this blog's public post feed at startup to see if a newer version exists. No information about you or your photos is sent. The Microsoft Store version does not do this; the Store handles its updates.
- Map: if a photo contains a GPS location and you click the map in the info card, the coordinates are opened in Google Maps in your web browser. This only happens when you click it.
- Links: links such as Ko-fi, this website or the help pages open in your web browser. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
- AI features and backgrounds: the first time you use an AI feature (remove background, erase objects, repair scratches, upscale, enhance quality, colorize, portrait, selective color, restore old photo) or the themed backgrounds, BS Picture asks before downloading the file it needs from GitHub (github.com/DuKeRd-maker/bspicture-modelos) or, if GitHub is not available, from its copy on Hugging Face (huggingface.co/ingmebs/bspicture-modelos). Every file is checked before it is used. Only the file is downloaded: your photos are processed on your computer and are never uploaded.
- Text recognition: "Copy text from image" and "Remove text AI" use the text recognition built into Windows, which runs on your computer. Nothing is sent over the internet.
Data stored on your computer
BS Picture saves its settings (language, window style, panel layout and similar options) in the Windows registry of your user account, and optional components in your user AppData folder. When you set a photo as desktop background, a copy is saved in your Pictures folder, in "BS Picture". In your temporary folder it keeps a cache of the thumbnails it shows and, if an error occurs, a log with the error details; neither is ever sent anywhere. You can delete these files at any time.
Children
BS Picture does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
